‘Baseball Queen’ Renewed for Season 2 Following Success of Black Queens
Channel A’s sports variety show, ‘Baseball Queen,’ has been renewed for a second season after the success of its inaugural season featuring the women’s baseball team “Black Queens.” The show captivated audiences with the journey of 15 sports legends as they took on the challenge of learning and playing baseball.
The Black Queens’ Inspiring Journey
The “Black Queens” team comprised a diverse group of elite athletes, including track and field star Kim Min-ji, rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji, handball players Kim On-ah and Park Ha-yeon, judoka Kim Sung-yeon, swimmer Jung Yoo-in, speed skater Kim Bo-reum, softball player Ayaka, boxer Choi Hyun-mi, shooter Park Boram, rower Lee Soo-yeon, footballer Joo Soo-jin, ice hockey player Shin So-jung, badminton player Jang Soo-young, and tennis player Song Ah.
Over four months of training, the team demonstrated remarkable growth, achieving a record of 4 wins and 3 losses. Players like Jang Soo-young (pitcher), Song Ah (batter), and Kim Un-ah emerged as key players, gaining recognition within the women’s baseball community. Season 2: Open Casting and New Opportunities
