Bad Bunny’s Enduring Connection with Chile

Bad Bunny, the global Latin music superstar, has consistently expressed his deep appreciation for Chile and its embrace of reggaeton culture. His recent social media posts and concert interactions underscore a relationship that began in the early 2000s and continues to flourish.

A History of Mutual Appreciation

Bad Bunny recently shared a series of Instagram stories highlighting his fondness for Chile, nearly two months after performing at the Estadio Nacional as part of his DeBí Tirar Más Fotos world tour [1]. He acknowledged Chile as one of the first countries to champion reggaeton from Puerto Rico in the 2000s, noting that this early support paved the way for the country’s own thriving reggaeton scene.

“Chile, one of the first countries to embrace the culture and movement of reggaeton from Puerto Rico in the 2000s. That’s why it’s no coincidence that today, more than 20 years later, they also have their own reggaeton scene and are successful worldwide,” Bad Bunny wrote. He further expressed gratitude for the support he’s received from Chilean fans since 2016.

Early Memories and Concert Experiences

Bad Bunny reminisced about his initial visits to Chile in 2017, recalling performances at nightclubs, El Caupolicán, the Arena Movistar in Viña del Mar, and the Estadio Nacional. [1] These early experiences left a lasting impression on the artist.

During his 2026 tour stop in Santiago, fans enthusiastically requested he perform “120” from his album El Último Tour Del Mundo. While Bad Bunny did not perform the song at that time, he promised to sing it with the Chilean crowd in the future. [1] Instead, his band, Los Sobrinos, honored the audience by performing renditions of iconic Chilean anthems, including Víctor Jara’s “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz” and Violetta Parra’s “Gracias a La Vida.”

Beyond the Stage: Exploring Chilean Culture

Bad Bunny’s visit to Chile extended beyond his concert performances. He toured the Concha y Toro vineyard in Pirque, experiencing an enological journey focused on the Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon. [2] He also shared images on social media of various locations in Santiago, including a city bus and a fan-gifted plush toy.

Continued Recognition

Bad Bunny’s appreciation for Chile is not a recent development. He previously collaborated with Chilean rapper Pablo Chill-E on the song “Hablamos Mañana” from his 2020 album YHLQDLG. He was the first to shout out Chile during the unifying moment at the Super Bowl halftime show. [1]

Bad Bunny’s DeBí Tirar Más Fotos world tour included three nights at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, February 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2026. [3]
