Berry Weather Update: Sun Returns to Indre and Cher This Week

After a period of gray skies and rain, spring weather is returning to the departments of Indre and Cher in central France this week, with temperatures expected to reach around 15 degrees Celsius. A sunny spell is forecast from Tuesday, March 17th, lasting until Friday, March 20th, before a return to wetter conditions over the weekend.

Mid-Week Sunshine

Tuesday will see the sun settling over the Berry region. A few clouds are anticipated in the Cher department in the morning, but these are expected to dissipate, giving way to clear skies. Temperatures will reach 15°C in Bourges, Saint-Amand-Montrond and Châteauroux, 14°C in Dun-sur-Auron, and 15°C in Vierzon. In Indre, temperatures will be 15°C in Châteauroux, La Châtre, and Issoudun, rising to 16°C in Argenton-sur-Creuse.

Wednesday will continue the sunny trend, with temperatures reaching 14°C in Bourges, Saint-Amand-Montrond, Argenton-sur-Creuse, and Châteauroux, 15°C in Vierzon, and 13°C in La Châtre. Thursday, March 19th, is expected to follow a similar pattern, with comparable temperatures across both departments.

Warmer Temperatures on Friday

Friday, March 20th, will see a slight increase in temperatures, with a few clouds appearing in the north of Indre and Cher. Temperatures are forecast to reach 16°C in Châteauroux and La Châtre, 17°C in Le Blanc and Saint-Amand-Montrond, and 15°C in Villequiers.

Weekend Rain

The weekend will bring a return to wetter conditions. Saturday will see a slight drop in temperatures, with highs of 12°C in Bourges and Châteauroux, and 11°C in Dun-sur-Auron and La Châtre. Showers are expected in Pérassay (9°C), Saint-Amand-Montrond (12°C), and Vesdun (10°C).

Sunday, March 22nd, will be largely gray, with rain forecast in the afternoon across parts of the Cher department and throughout Indre, including Lunery, Saint-Amand-Montrond, Vesdun, and the wider Indre department. Temperatures will range between 11 and 13°C.
