Dallas Wings Pursue Naming Rights for New Practice Facility, Aim for City Revenue Share

The Dallas Wings are seeking approval to sell naming rights for their forthcoming practice facility in West Oak Cliff, pledging a substantial 70% revenue share with the City of Dallas. The move comes as the WNBA team also explores taking over the development of the facility, which has faced construction delays.

Naming Rights Deal Details

According to city documents, the Wings have agreed to allocate 70% of the proceeds from any naming rights deal to the city, retaining the remaining 30% for the franchise. These funds would be directed towards the development of Joey Georgusis Park, the planned location for the practice facility Dallas Business Journal.

Facility Features and Community Access

The planned facility will include a community wing accessible to the public during scheduled hours, featuring meeting rooms. The park will boast two soccer fields adjacent to the building and a connection to the Chalk Hill Trail WFAA.
