Zuffa Boxing and Sky Sports Announce Landmark Broadcast Deal
Sky Sports and Zuffa Boxing have entered into a multi-year broadcast agreement, establishing Sky as the exclusive home for Zuffa Boxing events in the UK and Ireland. The partnership promises to deliver at least five live fight nights annually on UK soil, marking a modern era for the sport on Sky Sports.
Deal Details and First Event
The landmark agreement confirms Sky Sports as the broadcaster for all Zuffa Boxing events. The first event under this new partnership, ZUFFA BOXING 05: CORTES vs. GARCIA, is scheduled for April 5th, live from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. The card is headlined by an intriguing junior lightweight contest between Andres Cortes (24-0, 13 KOs) and Eridson Garcia (23-1, 14 KOs). The co-main event will feature former world champion Mark Magsayo (28-2) against Ireland’s Feargal McCroy (17-1).
Zuffa Boxing’s Expansion Plans
Launched in 2025, Zuffa Boxing is headed by Dana White, CEO of UFC, and Nick Khan, President of WWE and TKO board member. Dana White has stated the promotion’s philosophy is to deliver “the best possible fights with the best fighters in the world.” White has also indicated plans to sign marquee fighters like Conor Benn and Jai Opetaia, with more signings expected. The focus will be on building boxing stars in key markets including the United States, the UK, Australia, and Mexico.

Sky Sports has a long-standing history with boxing, spanning over three decades. The broadcaster has showcased iconic bouts featuring fighters like Frank Bruno, Mike Tyson, Ricky Hatton, and Anthony Joshua.
