Austin, Texas – March 23, 2026 – Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Jed Alton Brown as the presiding officer of the Webb County – City of Laredo Regional Mobility Authority. His term will expire on February 1, 2028.

Jed Alton Brown, a resident of Laredo, currently serves as the president of The Brownstone Group, Inc., a real estate development and general contracting company specializing in multi-family housing . He is actively involved in regional planning as a member of the policy committee of the Laredo & Webb County Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Brown previously served three terms on the Webb County Appraisal Review Board and has a history of community involvement, having volunteered as a board leader and coach for local youth sports teams. He also holds a real estate broker’s license and is an active private pilot .
