Mullin’s first challenge will be to restore funding for the agency’s routine operations, which has been blocked as Democrats demand greater control of immigration operations. They want immigration agents to properly identify themselves on their uniforms, maintain their faces uncovered, refrain from operations near sensitive places, wear body cameras, and obtain judicial warrants before entering homes or private spaces.3
