Colorado Springs culinary schools and nonprofit organizations have released their autumn schedules, featuring specialized cooking classes, community breakfasts, and charity fundraisers spanning October.
Chefs’ Kitchen Offers Children’s Baking Classes
Chefs’ Kitchen, located at 1753 S. Eighth St., has scheduled two distinct children’s baking programs for October. Registration is available through chefskitchencos.com/events. For children aged 4 to 12, the “Boo-tiful Cupcakes” class runs from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. on Oct. 17 and 24, with a registration fee of $39. For participants aged 7 to 14, the “Ghoulishly Gooey Lava Cakes & Caramel” session takes place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the same dates, priced at $69.

Charity Luncheons and Community Breakfasts Planned for October
Several local organizations have scheduled fundraising and community events for the middle and latter parts of October:
- Fostering Hope Luncheon: Scheduled for Oct. 8 from noon to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree hotel, 1775 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd., to benefit Fostering Hope. Registration is hosted at fosteringhopefoundation.org/registration.
- Breakfast of Champions: Scheduled for Oct. 15 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Broadmoor Hall, 1 Lake Ave., to benefit Peak Vista Community Health Centers. Pricing and tickets are available at peakvista.org/resources/breakfast-of-champions.
- Paella on the Patio: Scheduled for Oct. 18 with seatings at noon, 2:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. at Tapateria, 2607 W. Colorado Ave. Tickets are $49, and reservations can be made by calling 719-471-8272.
