A$AP Rocky‘s Former Engineer Sues Rapper for Alleged Assault

A$AP Rocky is facing a lawsuit from his former audio engineer, Terell “A$AP Relli” McFarlane, who alleges he was physically assaulted by the rapper in 2023. mcfarlane claims the incident occurred after a disagreement during a trip to New york City.

According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, McFarlane alleges Rocky lured him to a location under the guise of discussing work, but instead confronted him wiht accusations of infidelity adn then physically attacked him.The lawsuit details claims of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.

McFarlane asserts that Rocky struck him multiple times, causing injuries that required medical attention. He further alleges that Rocky prevented him from leaving the location immediately after the assault. The lawsuit seeks over $750,000 in damages.

This isn’t the first legal trouble for Rocky. In 2019, he was arrested in Sweden following an altercation, leading to a highly publicized trial and eventual conviction for assault. Rolling Stone provides further details on the current case and Rocky’s past legal issues.

Rocky’s legal team has not yet issued a formal response to the lawsuit, but a representative for the rapper previously denied the allegations to Rolling Stone, calling them “a fabricated and legally meritless story.”
