Malnutrition Crisis Deepens in Gaza
A record number of acute malnutrition cases among children in the Gaza Strip are being registered each month. sadly,deaths from hunger are also increasing. This data comes from WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus, as reported by Reuters.
“Nearly 12,000 children under the age of 5 in Gaza were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in July – the largest number recorded in a single month,” stated Gebreyesus from the organization’s headquarters in Geneva.
At least 99 people have died due to malnutrition, including 64 adults and 35 children. The situation demands urgent action to prevent further suffering and loss of life.
