Unveiling the New Season of “Amici” with Rebecca Bianchi

Maria De Filippi’s legendary talent show, “Amici,” is back with a bang, premiering on January 19th at 2 PM on Canale 5. This season promises an electrifying lineup, with a familiar face returning to the judging panel alongside a roster of fresh talent.

Archyde had the privilege of sitting down with one of the show’s newest additions, renowned ballerina and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma luminary, Rebecca Bianchi.

As the lead judge for the dance competition, Bianchi brings decades of experience and global recognition to the show. "It’s truly an honor to be part of “Amici,”” Bianchi shared, her eyes sparkling with exhilaration. “The show has such a rich history of discovering and nurturing talent, and I’m thrilled to contribute to its legacy, especially in the dance segment."

This season, Bianchi will be guiding the next generation of dancers through a range of styles and challenges, culminating in a breathtaking opening act alongside Javier Rojas, set to the iconic score of Bizet’s "Carmen."

“It’s been an incredible journey,” Bianchi explained, speaking of the creative process behind the duet. “Javier and I have worked tirelessly to create a piece that’s not just technically remarkable but emotionally stirring. We’ve blended classical and contemporary styles to bring a modern twist to the iconic ‘Carmen.’ I hope it resonates deeply with the audience."

Bianchi also shared her excitement about the introduction of a new competition element: unpublished songs.

"Music is at the heart of ‘Amici,’ and having such esteemed professionals on the judging panel brings a wealth of experience and insight. It’s captivating to see how different perspectives shape the feedback for these aspiring artists."

For aspiring dancers hoping to make their mark on the industry, Bianchi has a powerful message: "Stay true to yourself, and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow. Dance is not just about technique; it’s about emotion and storytelling. Don’t be afraid to take risks, let your passion be your guide, and the world will take notice."

With Bianchi’s unwavering support and expertise guiding the stage, "Amici" is poised to deliver another season filled with artistry, passion, and the promise of future dance stars.
