LSU Gymnastics Star Haleigh Bryant Set to Return Against Top Competition

Louisiana State University gymnastics fans rejoice! Two-time NCAA All-Around Champion Haleigh Bryant is expected to make her highly anticipated season debut this Saturday (January 11th) at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad.

Bryant Overcomes Injury

Bryant missed LSU’s season opener against Iowa State University due to an elbow injury sustained during a preseason exhibition. Head Coach Jay Clark, however, shared optimistic news about her recovery.

“We’ve made some significant progress. Depending on how this week goes, she will be available at least on balance beam,” he said. “Her strength is good. They’re optimistic we’re moving in the right direction.”

A Force to Reckon With

Bryant is a pivotal figure in the LSU Tigers’ quest for back-to-back national championships. Her stellar performances throughout her career, including her instrumental role in LSU’s first national title last season, have solidified her status as a gymnastics powerhouse.

LSU Faces a Tough Challenge

Despite Bryant’s absence in the first meet, LSU dominated Iowa State with a score of 197.300, earning the No. 2 ranking behind Oklahoma. This Saturday, the Tigers face a formidable lineup of top-ranked teams: No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 4 Utah, and No. 6 California. This stacked quad meet promises to be an exciting display of collegiate gymnastics talent.

Don’t miss the action! Witness the return of Haleigh Bryant and the LSU Tigers live on ABC at 4pm ET from the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad.
