Apple Expands F1 Integration with Maps and Fitness+ Ahead of 2026 Season
For Formula 1 fans in the United States, the 2026 season will be exclusively available on Apple TV, starting with the Australian Grand Prix next weekend. Apple is rapidly expanding its involvement in the sport, introducing new features within its Maps app and Fitness+ service to enhance the fan experience.
Enhanced Apple Maps Experience for F1 Fans
Apple Maps now offers detailed information for Formula 1 venues. Searching for Melbourne, Australia, and navigating to Albert Park – the home of the Australian Grand Prix – reveals specifics on the track layout, grandstand locations, pedestrian bridges, and other key details for race attendees.
Even for those watching from home, Apple Maps provides added details such as turn numbers, car statistics including speed metrics, and 3D representations of grandstands and pit buildings. The app also delivers the latest Formula 1 news.
F1-Themed Workouts with Apple Fitness+
Apple is introducing a new “F1 Walk & Talk” series to Apple Fitness+, building upon the existing “Time to Walk” series. This allows users to listen to conversations with Formula 1 personalities while walking the length of a race track. The latest episode features Yuki Tsunoda.
Global F1 Track Integration
Apple Maps will feature “2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World,” showcasing all venues as the F1 season progresses. This expansion builds on Apple’s existing F1 initiatives, including the release of F1: The Movie and its exclusive broadcasting rights for Formula 1 in the U.S.

Apple’s five-year deal as F1’s U.S. Broadcast partner began with the 2026 Australian Grand Prix PlanetF1. Apple TV+ will stream all Formula 1 races, with a subscription costing $12.99/month after a 7-day free trial Apple TV+. A rare collaboration with Netflix will see the Canadian Grand Prix broadcast on both platforms from May 22-24 AP News.
