Prior to joining the razorbacks, Davis established himself as a highly-regarded prospect. Scouting reports consistently placed him among the top players in the region. Perfect Game ranked him as the 143rd overall prospect nationally and the 43rd best right-handed pitcher in the 2024 class. Within the state of Arkansas, he was consistently recognized as a top-two overall prospect and the premier right-handed pitching talent. Prep Baseball Report echoed this assessment, listing him at No. 134 overall and No. 47 among right-handed pitchers nationally in the same class.
His accolades extended to prestigious honors, including recognition as a 2024 ABCA/Rawlings High School All-American.
