Croatian Soda “Pipi” Sued Over Trademark

The Croatian soft drink “Pipi” has been a staple as the 1970s.Now, it’s facing a lawsuit for trademark infringement, according to Vimmerby Newspaper.

Astrid Lindgren AB, the company managing the legacy of the beloved Swedish children’s book author, is behind the legal action.

OSTRC, the company behind “Pipi,” applied for Swedish trademark registration for the name a few years ago. Astrid Lindgren AB recently discovered the soft drink brand and promptly decided to pursue legal remedies.
