AT&T to Launch New Phone Plans in March, Including Value 2.0, Extra 2.0, and Premium 2.0
AT&T is preparing to introduce a new lineup of phone plans in March 2026, potentially replacing its current Unlimited Your Way options. The rumored plans – Value 2.0, Extra 2.0, and Premium 2.0 – are expected to adjust pricing, features, and data allowances.
Restructuring of Entry-Level Plans
The carrier may restructure its entry-level offerings by promoting the Value plan to a core position. The new Value 2.0 tier is anticipated to replace the existing Starter plan. While both plans have been similar, Value 2.0 is expected to offer more perks than its predecessor, such as increased hotspot access and promotional benefits.
Value 2.0 Plan Details
Rumors suggest the Value 2.0 plan could cost around $50 per month for a single line or approximately $30 per line for four lines. This pricing is comparable to the previous Value plan, potentially offering savings over the Starter plan. The plan may include unlimited talk, text, and data across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, along with 5GB of premium data, 3GB of hotspot data, standard definition streaming, and international texting to over 200 countries.
Extra 2.0 and Premium 2.0 Plans
The Extra 2.0 plan is expected to see a slight price reduction, potentially dropping to around $70 per month for a single line, compared to the previous Extra tier. Households could continue to pay around $40 per line for four lines. This plan is anticipated to include 100GB of premium data and 50GB of hotspot usage.
The Premium 2.0 plan, the most high-end option, may offer unlimited premium data and up to 100GB of hotspot access. The single-line price could start at approximately $90 per month, slightly higher than before, while multi-line pricing might decrease to around $55 per line with four users. Premium customers may also receive 4K streaming support and discounts on connected devices.
Launch Date and Ratification Vote
While AT&T has not officially confirmed these details, the refreshed plans are rumored to launch on March 12, 2026. A final ratification vote regarding an early tentative agreement between CWA Legacy T members and AT&T is also scheduled for March 12 CWA.
Other AT&T Changes in 2026
AT&T is also implementing other changes in 2026, including a price increase for prepaid plans with 5GB of data, rising from $30 to $33 per month, beginning February 6, 2026 SlashGear. The company will discontinue offering unlimited photo storage as part of its AT&T Protect Advantage device protection plan in February 2026 SlashGear.
However, AT&T is also expanding its services through a partnership with AST SpaceMobile to launch satellite-based broadband services in the first half of 2026, providing connectivity to customers in remote areas and public safety agencies SlashGear.
