An active shooter incident in the 6200 block of Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore on Tuesday resulted in a police officer being shot and transported to Shock Trauma, while the suspect was also shot and killed by another officer. The incident unfolded during a response to a reported burglary, escalating into a hostage situation before gunfire erupted.

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. Following reports of a burglary in progress.
