Five Streaming Picks for the Holidays

are you free between the holidays and wondering what to play? Check out our five picks from five different streaming platforms for shows to try in a few nights. You’ll see one of the best science fiction ever,a brilliantly filmed crime drama set against the backdrop of the rise of Nazism, but also Enid from Wednesday in a fully different role. Or a really good mix of hysteria, horror and comedy.

Breslau – Disney+

This chilling and engrossing crime thriller feels like it was made for millions of dollars in Hollywood. And it was created in Poland! Notably, as the first Central european series on Disney+. It takes place during the turbulent 1930s in Wrocław, wich was called Breslau in German and belonged to Germany at the time. Though, the rise of Nazism creates an oppressive backdrop for the murder examination.

But this seemingly ordinary plot is elevated by the acting, remarkable set design, and excellent cinematography. As our review mentions, Breslau takes a course that will have you watching the final episodes with bated breath. You can easily handle eight episodes in two evenings.

The Expanse – Amazon Prime Video

This recommendation is for those who enjoy great sci-fi and have some extra holiday time. The expanse grew to six seasons, mostly after a digestible ten episodes per season. There wasn’t much filler, and the show didn’t overstay its welcome. billionaire Jeff Bezos is such a fan of this series that when Syfy didn’t want to continue it after three seasons, he intervened and added three more through Amazon.

what interested one of the richest men on the planet, and what might entice you? It takes you to the relatively near future, when a cold war exists between Earth,Mars, and the asteroid belt in our Solar System. The technology is believable, the plots are captivating, the conspiracies are mysterious, and the characters are well-written. It is indeed also an adaptation of the book series of the same name.
