Boise, Idaho – A 24-year-old man, James Rice, has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery following a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026, near Ustick Road and Five Mile Road in Boise. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.

According to the Boise Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 12:40 a.m. On Tuesday. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim with injuries that appeared life-threatening. First responders provided immediate medical care until Ada County Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. His current condition is unknown.
