The bullfighter and later banderillero Manuel Canton Morenowhich was advertised on posters as Manolo Coronahas died at the age of 52 as a result of a long illness, which precipitated his withdrawal from the arena due to the deterioration of his health.
This has been confirmed to EFE by sources close to the deceased bullfighter’s entourage, who received a tribute at the bullfight held on September 15 in Coria del Ríoa town in Seville from which he considered himself a native despite having been born in Geneva (Switzerland), where his parents had emigrated.
