Nuketown is Back: Classic Call of Duty Map Revamped for Black Ops 6
Get ready to drop into a familiar yet visually stunning location! Fans of the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops map Nuketown will be thrilled to know that a revamped version is coming to Black Ops 6 starting November 1st.
Activision and Treyarch, the studio behind Black Ops 6, announced that this fan-favorite map, inspired by a scene in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” will be part of the game’s post-launch content drops. The map, renowned for its small Nevada nuclear testing site setting and explosive ending, has also been featured in Call of Duty: Online and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Nuketown, a map from Call of Duty: Black Ops, is returning with new visuals as a free multiplayer map for players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The map, which takes place on a nuclear test site in Nevada, was originally inspired by a scene from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
A video trailer showcasing the revamped visuals and the iconic end-of-match blast is now available.
Black Ops 6, released on October 25th, takes players back to 1991, following a team of covert operatives as they track down a dangerous force called Pantheon. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the game is also part of Microsoft’s Game Pass service.
In addition to Nuketown, Activision also teased Season 1, launching on November 14th. The season will introduce new multiplayer maps and modes, an in-season Zombies map, and enhancements to Call of Duty: Warzone, including Omnimovement and new weapon and loadout features.
