Cambodia-Thailand Border Conflict Displaces Nearly 400,000 Civilians
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – December 14, 2025 – The ongoing border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand has resulted in the displacement of approximately 395,000 cambodian civilians, according to a recent statement from the Cambodian Ministry of Interior. The conflict entered its eighth day on Sunday, December 14th, prompting a significant humanitarian crisis.
The displaced population includes a particularly vulnerable demographic,with 204,889 women and 95,949 children among those forced to flee their homes.These figures highlight the disproportionate impact of the conflict on women and children, raising concerns about their safety and well-being.
