Capri Sea Connections Disrupted by Strong Winds

Maritime connections to and from Capri are facing disruptions due to strong winds and rough seas. The Campania Region Civil Protection Agency issued a weather warning yesterday afternoon, forecasting south-westerly winds with gusts and potential storm surges, impacting travel plans as the Easter holidays approach.

Weather Conditions and Travel Impacts

The adverse weather conditions are causing concern among commuters and workers who regularly travel to Capri. While authorities hope this will be the last significant storm before the peak tourist season, the current situation poses a risk to the smooth operation of ferry services between Capri and Naples.

Seasonal Travel Prospectus and Increased Tourist Activity

With the start of summer time and the approach of April, a seasonal travel prospectus for maritime connections will be launched, featuring adjusted schedules and an increased number of trips to accommodate the growing demand from tourists. March has already seen a noticeable influx of both Italian and foreign visitors to Capri, frequenting the island’s central square and historic streets.
