## Crown Point Trail Restoration Project Underway in idaho
The popular Crown Point Trail, a 5.9-mile multi-use pathway alongside Lake Cascade in Cascade,Idaho,is set to undergo critically importent restoration work. Recent assessments by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have identified damage caused by excessive surface water runoff impacting the trail’s condition [[1]]. This trail is a favored destination for mountain bikers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
The upcoming project will focus on rehabilitating 2.7 miles of the trail’s relatively flat surface. Beyond trail repair, improvements will encompass a complete upgrade of the trailhead, ensuring full compliance with the americans with Disabilities act (ADA). Enhanced drainage systems will be implemented to mitigate future runoff issues, and a new beach access trail will be constructed, providing improved recreational opportunities.To further enhance visitor convenience, a vault toilet will also be installed.
Lake Cascade State Park manages the southern portion of the trail slated for restoration, while Valley county Pathways oversees the northern section. This collaborative effort highlights a commitment to maintaining and improving public access to outdoor recreation areas.
