Bitcoin Plummets to June Lows, Erasing $1.3 Billion in Crypto Futures

Bitcoin (BTC) extended losses on Tuesday, falling to its lowest level as late June, wiping out a total of over $1.3 billion in leveraged crypto futures.

The mood on the stock markets was mixed on Tuesday, but most values were deep red.

Bitcoin fell 2.5 percent to $26,000 in the last 24 hours, marking a 15 percent monthly loss. Other cryptocurrencies also recorded intraday losses.

As crypto prices continued their multi-day slide, long traders lost $1.3 billion in 24 hours, while shorts accounted for a comparatively paltry $158.4 million in liquidations, according to data from Coinglass.
