Wesleyan Swimmers & Divers Achieve Academic Excellence
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Wesleyan University’s swimming and diving programs have been honored for their commitment to academic achievement, receiving Scholar All-America Team recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches of America (CSCAA) this week.

The CSCAA recently announced its list of Scholar All-America Teams for the spring 2025 semester, recognizing a total of 763 teams representing 432 institutions. This prestigious list encompasses 18,459 student-athletes who demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout the semester. This highlights a growing trend in collegiate athletics where academic success is prioritized alongside athletic competition – a recent NCAA report indicated that student-athletes consistently maintain higher graduation rates than the general student population.
Wesleyan’s Standout Performance
Both the Wesleyan men’s and women’s teams achieved remarkable grade point averages, earning them this distinguished honor. The women’s team posted a combined GPA of 3.76, securing a tie for 20th place among 172 recognized Division III programs.The men’s team closely followed with a 3.64 GPA, achieving a tie for 22nd position out of 147 Division III teams.
