Central Wyoming College and University of Wyoming Launch Express Transfer Agreement

Riverton, Wyo. — Central Wyoming College (CWC) and the University of Wyoming (UW) have launched a new collaborative effort designed to aid CWC students in select majors complete their UW degrees more efficiently. The Express Transfer Agreement (ETA) program, announced on March 23, 2026, streamlines the transfer process and provides additional benefits for CWC students.

Streamlined Transfer Process and Co-Advising

The ETA program allows CWC students in designated programs to be co-admitted to and co-advised by the University of Wyoming. This co-advising model ensures a clear pathway for credit transfer and provides students with guidance from both institutions. Students will receive regular communication and support from advisors at both CWC and UW, facilitating a smoother transition to UW upon earning their associate degree. Upon completion of their associate degree, students will automatically transition to full UW student status and register for the subsequent semester with a clear understanding of the coursework needed to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Program Availability and Eligible Majors

The ETA program is available to students enrolling at Central Wyoming College starting in Fall 2026. The initial program focuses on the following bachelor’s degree areas:

  • Communication
  • English
  • Psychology
  • Business
  • Elementary Education
  • Computer Science
  • Social Work
