Interest in used cars is growing. The number of used cars sold on the Czech market in September increased by 1.5% year-on-year, in absolute numbers by 1,047 units. it was also the strongest September in the history of the used car market in the Czech Republic, with 71,016 cars finding new owners (last year there were 69,969, the year before 69,239, adn three years ago, in 2022, even 6,500 less).
Compared to the record this August, however, the number of cars sold fell by 2.3%, ie by 1,643 units. This stems from the analysis of Aures holdings, operators of the international network AAA AUTO and MOTOTECHNA.
“Record August sales indicated that the strongest sales season started every year because people simply need to change cars. It is logical that after the initial boom they are stabilizing. Rising Popularity of Chinese cars in the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is witnessing a surge in the popularity of cars from Chinese manufacturers, with sales significantly increasing in recent years.According to eldar Vagabov, director of AURES Holdings innovations, this trend is opening up access to a wider range of vehicles. “The Czech market is still relatively unexplored, and we are seeing growing interest in unconventional and otherwise inaccessible cars. This is particularly true for Chinese brands,” Vagabov stated.
Recent data indicates a substantial increase in sales. AURES Holdings reported selling 451 Chinese cars in the frist three quarters of the current year – more than double the total sales for the entire previous year. https://www.novinky.cz/clanek/komercni-clanky-martin-pajer-cebia-tuhle-chybu-dela-vetsina-lidi-co-si-kupuje-ojete-auto-40527141
While MG cars currently lead the way in terms of Chinese car sales in the Czech Republic, other brands are experiencing rapid growth. This increasing demand suggests a shift in consumer preferences and a growing acceptance of Chinese automotive brands within the Czech market.
