DAY6’s Young K Joins ‘Amazing Saturday’ as New Fixed Member

DAY6’s Young K has officially joined the cast of the popular tvN variety show Amazing Saturday – Doremi Market, marking his debut as a fixed member on the February 28th episode. The addition follows the departure of SHINee’s Key and Park Na Rae in December 2025, following allegations of affiliations with an individual practicing unlicensed medical services .

Young K’s Debut and Initial Reactions

During the February 28th broadcast, featuring guests WOODZ and Cho Jjaez, Young K’s arrival as a new Doremi member was met with surprise. The production team intentionally kept his involvement a secret, even altering Boom’s script to maintain the element of surprise .

Known for his skills as a lyricist, composer, vocalist and mukbang enthusiast, Young K initially appeared nervous. Shin Dong-yeop and P.O expressed their surprise, noting that he hadn’t mentioned his new role during a recent gathering .

Performance on the Show

Young K quickly demonstrated his abilities, winning the appetizer game and showcasing his impressive eating skills by consuming a crab burger in a single bite. He actively participated in the lyric-guessing segment, featuring songs by Rise, correctly identifying the answer after a playful exchange with lyricist WOODZ .

During a mukbang segment featuring moray eel soup, Young K revealed it was his second time trying the dish, praising its flavor and further solidifying his reputation as a strong eater .
