MILLBROOK – Local artist, eleanor Vance, is having her work featured in the National Association of Women Artists’ (NAWA) 85th Annual Exhibit. The exhibit, titled “Resilience,” is currently on display at the Prince Street Gallery in New York City and runs through April 27.
Vance, a Millbrook resident for over 20 years, is a mixed media artist whose work explores themes of nature, memory, and the passage of time. Her piece, “Ephemeral Echoes,” selected for the exhibit, is a layered work incorporating photography, paint, and natural materials.
“I’m incredibly honored to be included in this exhibit alongside so many talented women artists,” Vance said. “The theme of ‘Resilience’ really resonated with me, and I think ‘Ephemeral Echoes’ speaks to that idea – the way nature endures and transforms, even in the face of change.”
NAWA is a non-profit association dedicated to supporting and promoting the work of women artists. The annual exhibit is a juried show, meaning that artists must submit their work for consideration by a panel of judges. This year’s exhibit features the work of over 100 artists from across the country.
Vance’s art has been exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the Hudson Valley, but this is her first time being featured in a national exhibit. She hopes this opportunity will help her reach a wider audience and continue to grow as an artist.
“It’s a really exciting moment in my career,” Vance said. “I’m grateful for the support of the local art community and thrilled to be able to share my work on a national stage.”
