Diddy Appeals 50-Month Sentence, Claims ‘Perversion of Justice’
Sean “Diddy” Combs is continuing to fight his legal battles, filing an appeal against his 50-month sentence related to prostitution charges. His legal team argues the sentence is excessively harsh and constitutes a “perversion of justice,” particularly given his acquittal on more serious charges of sex trafficking and RICO violations.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s lawyers contend that the sentence is approximately four times higher than typical for similar offenses. They likewise accuse Judge Arun Subramanian of engaging in “acquitted conduct” sentencing – a practice of increasing punishment based on allegations of which he was found not guilty.
The appeal, filed on Friday, March 13, 2026, requests the appeals court to grant Diddy’s “immediate release” or, at minimum, vacate the sentence and order a resentencing TMZ.
50 Cent Reacts to Public Sentiment
In a separate incident, rapper 50 Cent publicly acknowledged the widespread negative sentiment towards Diddy. During a performance in Miami on March 3, 50 Cent responded with amusement and a gesture of approval when a fan displayed a message reading “I HATE DIDDY TOO.” He then threw money towards the fan, seemingly acknowledging the public’s feelings Yahoo.
