MediaMarkt Transforms De Kuip’s Away Section into ‘Vak MM’ for Feyenoord-Ajax Klassieker
De Kuip’s away section will undergo a transformation for the upcoming Klassieker match between Feyenoord and Ajax on Sunday, March 22nd. Through an initiative by Feyenoord’s main sponsor, MediaMarkt Nederland, the section will be temporarily renamed ‘Vak MM’. As part of the promotion, MediaMarkt is also giving away 100 tickets to Feyenoord supporters.
A Unique Fan Experience
As has been the case in recent years, away supporters will not be present at the Klassieker. For this edition of Feyenoord – Ajax, MediaMarkt will convert the away section into a dedicated Feyenoord section, ‘Vak MM’ – a section that does not normally exist within De Kuip.
To enhance the integration of ‘Vak MM’ with the rest of the stadium, the Lexan walls and nets will be removed. This will allow supporters in ‘Vak MM’ to connect directly with the rest of De Kuip, creating a unified atmosphere in the stands. The aim is to transform the away section into a true Feyenoord section, providing massive support for the team during the Klassieker.
Ticket Giveaway: ‘Take Your Seat’ Campaign
Although the Klassieker is sold out, MediaMarkt is offering fans a chance to win tickets to ‘Vak MM’ through the ‘Take Your Seat’ campaign. A total of 100 tickets will be given away to supporters who register for the competition. More details on how to enter can be found on the Feyenoord website.
MediaMarkt’s Sponsorship of Feyenoord
MediaMarkt Nederland became the main sponsor of Feyenoord on July 1, 2024, in a three-year partnership. The sponsorship was officially announced at a press conference held at De Kuip. This collaboration signifies a fusion of shared values and ambitious visions between the two organizations.
Beyond the Sponsorship: Connecting Fans with the Game
MediaMarkt, in collaboration with House of Sports and TCL Electronics, aims to bring the stadium experience closer to fans who cannot attend matches in person. This is achieved by allowing fans to experience the game from the comfort of their homes on state-of-the-art TCL screens, mirroring the atmosphere of De Kuip.
