Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will fight on Sept. 13 with a massive purse for boxing’s biggest event in recent memory.

Determining the exact purse and guaranteed money for the Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford fight on September 13 proves difficult. Sources consistently offer vague responses, typically stating “its a lot.”

These boxing legends will clash on Netflix from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, in a spectacle poised too reshape the boxing world. Promoters, including Dana White, remain tight-lipped, but indications suggest a important disparity in payouts between the two fighters.

Reports indicate Alvarez will earn at least $100 million, possibly reaching $150 million, for the fight. Crawford, however, claims a $10 million payday – a claim many consider dubious.

Crawford Fight Part of Canelo’s Lucrative Deal

alalshikh, instrumental in securing the fight, stated at a press conference that alvarez’s reported $100 million is an underestimate.

“More than that,” he declared.

White, in a Vegas PBS interview, largely confirmed this.

“Well, imagine what it would take to get Canelo to fight Crawford, moving up weight classes while undefeated,” White explained.

When pressed on the $100 million figure, White simply answered, “Probably,” with a laugh.

Regarding Crawford’s earnings, White deferred, “I don’t know. I don’t actually even know. That deal was cut with (Alalshikh) in Saudi Arabia.”
