Indonesia’s Stock Market Dips After Protests

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) fell due to negative feelings from protests during trading last weekend, Friday, August 29, 2025. This happened after the index reached a record high on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

On Friday, the index dropped more than 2%, falling below the 7,800 level. However, it recovered some ground and closed down 1.53%, or 121 points, at 7,830.49.

The total market capitalization of the IHSG was Rp 14,211 trillion on Friday, a important decrease.
