The Battle of the Bulldogs is on.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, Gunner Stockton’s No. 5-ranked Georgia visits Blake Shapen’s Mississippi State at their home davis Wade Stadium.
This high-stakes week 11 SEC showdown – wich former Georgia Bulldog David Pollack described as a “trap game” on his “See Ball get Ball” podcast – is one that kirby Smart’s 7-1 club shouldn’t take lightly even if they are riding a four-game win streak.
As Pollack noted, this is only Georgia’s third road game of the year and 5-4 Mississippi State is riding high after their triumphant 38-35 victory over Arkansas. In that nail-biter, Shapen completed 16 of 28 passes for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
“They’ve got no quit in them,” Smart said via 247sports. “These guys have competed. They’ve been in every game they’ve played…They’ve got really good players all over the field.”
