Freeski EC season wraps up in Corvatsch with McGee and Rhyner atop standings The 2025/26 FIS Freeski Park & Pipe European Cup season concluded last week on the storied slopes of Corvatsch, Switzerland, with the final Halfpipe, Big Air, and Slopestyle competitions of the campaign. The season featured seven Slopestyle, seven Big Air, and two Halfpipe events, along with six Rail Events, as the discipline continues to evolve toward potential inclusion in the World Cup circuit. According to recent Park & Pipe rule changes for the Continental Cup level, a full calendar requires three competitions in at least two different countries to award overall winners and personal quota spots for the next World Cup season. While three women’s events were completed, all took place in Switzerland, meaning no overall winners earned a World Cup quota spot for the 2026/27 season. On the men’s side, Nils Rhyner of Switzerland claimed the overall European Cup title in Slopestyle and Big Air, topping the standings after a consistent season. American athlete Kaitlyn Reital led the women’s standings with two second-place finishes and a win in her three starts, despite the lack of a quota spot due to the single-country limitation for women’s events. Alexsandra Glaskova of AIN finished second in the women’s overall standings after securing victories in her two starts, though she did not compete in the final event in Corvatsch. Glaskova did, however, compete at the World Cup season finale in Corvatsch in March, where she earned her first World Cup podium with a third-place finish in her debut World Cup appearance. Third overall in the women’s standings went to Keira Devenoges of Switzerland, who delivered strong performances throughout the season. The event in Corvatsch highlighted the growing competitiveness of the European Cup circuit and underscored the importance of international participation for athletes seeking World Cup qualification through continental series results.
