Galatasaray Fined and Banned from Away Champions League Match Following Juventus Incidents
Galatasaray has been fined €40,000 and will be prohibited from having fans present at their next UEFA Champions League away fixture due to incidents of fan misconduct during their recent match against Juventus. The disciplinary action was confirmed by a statement on the official Galatasaray website.
Incident Details
The incidents occurred during the second leg of the Champions League play-off match held at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin on February 25, 2026. Reports indicate that approximately 50 Galatasaray fans attempted to enter the stadium without valid tickets, resulting in damage to a barrier and to buses transporting fans from the city center.
Further, a firework was thrown into the Curva Nord section of the stadium, injuring a man and his daughter who required hospital treatment. The individual responsible for throwing the firework was identified and charged as they left the stadium.
Prior to the match, clashes occurred between Galatasaray supporters and local police.
