Okan Buruk Reflects on Galatasaray’s Draw Against Beşiktaş, Highlights Resilience and Questions Refereeing

Following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Beşiktaş in the 8th week of the Trendyol Super League, Galatasaray coach okan Buruk addressed the media, expressing pride in his team’s performance despite playing a significant portion of the match with ten men. He also voiced concerns regarding officiating decisions that he believed impacted the game.

Buruk commended his players’ spirit and determination, stating, “We demonstrated a significant display of resilience and fight after being reduced to ten players. The team showed great character to secure a point in a challenging atmosphere.”

the Galatasaray manager also focused on a specific incident during the second half, alleging a controversial call by referee Yasin Kol. “There were clear errors made by the referee during the match,” Buruk asserted. “Notably in the second half, a promising attack involving three passes was inexplicably halted by the referee, Mr. Yasin Kol. It was a crucial moment in the game.”

The draw marked Galatasaray’s first dropped points of the season, maintaining their position at the top of the league table. While acknowledging the disappointment of not securing a win,Buruk emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and continuing to fight for every point throughout the campaign.
