Globe and Barefoot Theater Collaborative Open Doors to Aspiring musical Theatre Artists
Have you ever dreamed of being part of a musical? Always wondered where to begin? This is your chance to take that first step.
Globe Prepaid, in partnership with Barefoot Theatre Collaborative, launches Globe Hangouts GoWATCH: Own the Spotlight, a nationwide program that opens the world of theater to dreamers ready to discover their voice, their craft, and their community.
Open to aspiring artists aged 16 to 27, this program will guide selected participants through workshops, mentorship, and experiences that bring them closer to the heart of musical theater.
A Journey Like No Other
From all submissions, 10 participants will be chosen to embark on an immersive two-week creative journey. They will:
- Train in workshops with some of the country’s most sought-after theater practitioners: playwright Pat Valera, choreographer Jomelle Era, and actress Teetin Villanueva.
- Receive mentorship from distinguished theater figures Rem Zamora and Gab Pangilinan.
- go behind the scenes, watch performances, and become part of the community!
At the end of the program, one finalist will get the chance to work with the creators of Bar Boys: The Musical to learn, rehearse, and perform a scene from the acclaimed production. The finalist will also secure an internship and apprenticeship in a future Barefoot Theatre Collaborative show.
