Google Docs Now Converts Text to Audio with AI

Google recently enhanced the Google Docs experience with new features that allow users to convert documents into audio versions using artificial intelligence (AI).

According to the Google Workspace Updates blog, the new Gemini AI feature enables users to create audio-based documents for those who prefer voice-based content.

Google explains that this feature not only creates audio versions of documents but also allows users to access AI-generated readings of their work.

To access this feature, users simply click the “Tools” menu, select “Audio,” and then choose “Listen to this tab.” Gemini AI will then read the entire document.

Users can also add audio files directly to their documents.Select “Insert,” then “Audio” to embed audio into the document.

This feature makes Google Docs more interactive by combining text and audio, benefiting users who prefer to consume facts or learn through audio.

KompasTekno reports that the feature is available in indonesia,but Gemini AI is limited to reading texts of up to 20,000 characters. Texts exceeding this limit cannot be read by the AI.
