Greenland Homes’ Charity Build Raises $220,000 for Children’s Cancer Connection
Ankeny-based homebuilder Greenland Homes’ 2025 Charity Build successfully raised $220,000 to benefit Children’s Cancer Connection, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Iowa families affected by childhood cancer. The newly constructed home, located in Ankeny near Saylorville Lake, was built through the collaboration of Greenland Homes and numerous local trade partners, with all net proceeds directly donated to the nonprofit.
Seventh Annual Partnership
This successful fundraising event marks the seventh charitable home built as part of the partnership between Greenland Homes and Children’s Cancer Connection, which began in 2012. Over the course of these seven builds, Greenland Homes has contributed a total of $769,000 to support the organization’s mission.
Supporting Iowa Families
Children’s Cancer Connection provides vital support to more than 830 families annually through a range of free programs, including camps and outreach initiatives. These programs offer crucial assistance to families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer.
Statements from Leadership
“CCC is there when families necessitate support most — and that is only possible because of long-time community partners like Greenland Homes who invest in these critical programs,” said Jennifer Hines, CEO of Children’s Cancer Connection, in a prepared statement.
Project Details
Updates on the construction of the 2025 charity home, the Eisenhower Plan at 1656 NW Savannah Dr, Ankeny in The Reserve at the Grove, were shared on Children’s Cancer Connection’s Facebook page in August 2025. The ranch-style home features a finished lower level and three bedrooms.
A Deeper Connection
Greenland Homes initiated these charity builds as a way to give back to the community, but the initiative has fostered a deeper connection involving employees, subcontractors, and suppliers, all of whom now have a vested interest in the work of Children’s Cancer Connection.
