Hidalgo Attracts Record Investment, Creating Thousands of Jobs
Pachuca, Hidalgo – A surge of private investment is transforming Hidalgo’s economic landscape, with a projected creation of 163,198 jobs and a historic influx of 125.823 billion pesos over the past three and a half years. Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar and Secretary of Economic Development Carlos Henkel Escorza recently announced the eighth round of investments, encompassing 16 new private projects across nine municipalities.
Investment Highlights
The latest wave of investment totals 8.85 billion pesos and is expected to generate 5,574 direct and indirect jobs. Key projects include:
- Grupo Interfuel Logística (Zempoala): A 2 billion peso investment in a logistics center and industrial park, creating 100 jobs.
- DISELO (Tizayuca): A 1.2 billion peso expansion of a multimodal logistics terminal, industrial warehouses and railway yards, generating 250 jobs.
- CEDIS COSTCO (Tepeji del Río): An 1.8 billion peso expansion of its distribution center.
- Voltran WEG Group (Atotonilco de Tula): A 657 million peso plant for the manufacture of radiators, creating 330 jobs.
- Pharma GBC (Villa de Tezontepec): A 600 million peso pharmaceutical distribution center, generating 1,150 jobs.
- AC2 Fund (DEWA and Affinius Capital) (Villa of Tezontepec): A 570 million peso speculative industrial complex, creating 600 jobs.
- Cuántica Asociados (Villa of Tezontepec): A 567 million peso residential housing project, “La Herradura Residencial,” creating 580 jobs.
- Arteche North America (Tepeji del Río): A 377 million peso expansion with a high voltage impulse laboratory, creating 922 jobs.
- Oriental Yuhong (Atotonilco de Tula): A 360 million peso investment in a tile and waterproofing plant, creating 300 jobs.
- Promoter of the Pachuca Club (San Agustín Tlaxiaca): A 250 million peso expansion of the CEMA Hospital, creating 350 jobs.
- Dina Camiones (Tepeapulco): A 105 million peso expansion of production lines, creating 450 jobs.
- COATRESA of Mexico (Tepeji del Río): A 98 million peso investment in non-stick coatings, creating 52 jobs.
- HEBI Enterprise Group (Villa of Tezontepec): A 78 million peso investment in manufacturing stainless steel tanks and equipment, creating 65 jobs.
- INLOSA Group (Pachuca): A 73 million peso investment in the installation of business franchises, creating 285 jobs.
- Auto Manufacturas Brake (Tizayuca): A 50 million peso expansion of its plant, creating 130 jobs.
- PAKMAR (Atitalaquia): A 20 million peso investment in a concrete and asphalt emulsions plant, creating 10 jobs.
Strategic Initiatives and Regional Growth
Secretary Henkel Escorza highlighted the state’s focus on consolidating industrial hubs, such as Zapotlán, strengthening electrical infrastructure in coordination with federal agencies, and promoting the AIFA-Pachuca train as an economic driver. Governor Menchaca Salazar emphasized that business confidence is bolstered by Hidalgo’s strategic location, connectivity, qualified workforce, and robust educational system that links academia with the productive sector.
Hidalgo: A Rising Economic Power
Governor Menchaca Salazar affirmed that 2026 marks a turning point, with private investment surpassing the total accumulated during the three previous administrations. This positions Hidalgo as a “power on the move” within central Mexico.
