Humane Slashs AI Pin Price by $200 in Sales Push

Humane is trying to boost sales of its AI Pin by cutting the price of the device by $200. Initially launched earlier this year at $699, the AI Pin is now available starting at $499.

This lower-priced version, called the “eclipse” model, features a matte black anodized aluminum finish. However, it does not include an extra battery or the charging case. This exclusion comes after Humane advised owners to avoid using the charging case due to potential fire safety concerns with certain batteries from a vendor.

You can still purchase an additional battery separately for $69. Importantly, even with the price reduction, the AI Pin still requires a $24 per month wireless subscription.

AI Pin Models and Availability

Humane’s store also lists the white and black AI Pin models with a polished aluminum finish (dubbed “lunar” and “equinox”). Each model is priced at $799 as part of a “complete system” that includes an extra battery pack and charging case. Currently, both model variations are sold out.
