Nicole Kidman’s renowned professionalism extends beyond her acting prowess. Her costar Harris Dickinson recently revealed that the Oscar winner created a warm and comfortable atmosphere on the set of their upcoming film, Babygirl, particularly during intimate scenes.
Kidman Creates a Safe Space for Intimate Scenes
Dickinson, who plays a young intern involved in a steamy affair with Kidman’s CEO character, described Kidman as “the most comforting, warm performer to work across from.” He praised her ability to set the tone on set, making it easy for both actors to be vulnerable and playful, even during intimate moments.
“She sets the tone on set, and she makes it so easy to be vulnerable and to be funny, because she is so daring,” Dickinson told Variety in an interview published Oct. 23. “She’s so brave, and she does stuff, and you’re like, ‘What the f–k is that?’ You can’t even think of it.”
Dickinson emphasized Kidman’s innate sense of playfulness, which made filming the intimate scenes less nerve-wracking. He also highlighted the importance of working with an intimacy coordinator to establish clear boundaries and ensure both actors felt comfortable.
“She’s just got this innate sense of playfulness. And when you have that on set, everything’s so easy,” he added.
