Nusantara Welcomes Eid al-Fitr Tourists to Dozens of Attractions

Jakarta – The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority is preparing to welcome tens of thousands of tourists daily during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, opening dozens of attractions within the central government core zone (KIPP). The initiative aims to provide public access to the ongoing development of Indonesia’s new capital city.

IKN Ready to Host Visitors

According to IKN Authority spokesperson Troy Pantouw, a range of visitor routes, strategic points and supporting services have been established to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience for tourists. Tempo.co reported on March 20, 2026, that the extended Eid holiday presents an opportunity for the public to witness firsthand the progress of IKN’s construction and facility expansion.

Attractions Open to the Public

Dozens of locations within KIPP will be open for visitors, including religious sites, offices, residential areas, and public spaces. Notable attractions include:

  • Seremoni Plaza
  • PSSI building
  • MBH Reservoir
  • IKN Glamping
  • Sepaku Semoi Dam
  • Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Plaza
  • Kusuma Bangsa Park
  • The State Mosque
  • Various tourist spots around IKN

State Mosque to Hold First Eid Prayer

The National Mosque in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) will hold its first congregational Eid al-Fitr prayer on 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah, with prayers beginning at 06:30 WITA. VOI reported on March 20, 2026, that the prayer is open to the public, and residents of IKN and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend. Muhammad Abzar Duraesa will lead the prayer as imam, even as Ahmad Muzakir will serve as the deputy imam.

Access and Transportation

Access to the IKN Toll Road leading to the State Mosque area will open at 04:30 WITA. Visitors are advised to arrive early and follow the instructions of on-site officers. Electric shuttle bus service will connect various strategic points within KIPP, including ASN 1-4 Dormitories, HPK 1 & 2, and the Rest Area. Parking will be available in the basement of the National Mosque, with overflow parking directed to surrounding streets as guided by officers.

State Palace Visit Restrictions

Visitors to the State Palace area will be subject to dress code restrictions. Casual attire such as sandals, shorts, T-shirts, and sleeveless shirts are discouraged. visitors are expected to wear shoes and more formal clothing.
