IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA) – Nearly 2 million dollars were cut through the fund obtained from institutions serving Hispanics, which had been granted by IVC Collage, however, authorities of this institution prepared in advance to generate financial alternatives that would not generate major effects in the first stage of student preparation.

Alexis Villa, Vice President of student services and academic services, told Telemundo that they will only be able to use about 500 thousand dollars in 2025 and 2026.

“We have faculty and professionals who are actively applying for funding, whether from foundations or state resources or programs, so we are mobilizing to ensure that services are not interrupted for students.”

He mentioned that the resource will be used to purchase technology that benefits new students:

“I want to be clearer about the fact that the financing of the United States Department of Education, at the federal level, is between 2% and 3% of the funds that we receive as a school, which is actually significant, because it is millions of dollars, but it does not exhaust all the funds and resources that we have.”

In schools near this border that requested this resource, between schools and universities, the impact will be close to 15 million dollars.
