Dodgers’ Four aces Powering World Series Run

LOS ANGELES – Every deck of cards has its complete set, but it’s something rarely seen in a Major League rotation: four aces.

last year, the Dodgers won the World Series despite having a limited rotation. In 2025, their four starters have been the driving force behind their bid to become the first team in a quarter-century to defend their title.

“We knew going into October that the strength of this team was going to be our starters,” president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said after the National League Championship Series. “But for them to do what they did exceeded even our expectations. it was an incredible sight to see them pitch in these four games and pass the baton to each other.”

Manager Dave Roberts announced Tuesday that Snell and Yamamoto will be the starters for the first two games of the World Series at Rogers Center. The Dodgers have not yet finalized the rotation for the rest of the Fall Classic, but everything indicates that they will follow the same order as in the National League Championship Series: Glasnow would start Game 3 on Monday and Ohtani would start Game 4 on Tuesday, which would allow all four to pitch with the usual rest to which they are accustomed.

Snell would have four days of rest between Game 1 and a possible Game 5. The same would be true for Glasnow between Games 3 and 7. Yamamoto would have five days between Games 2 and 6, while Ohtani would make one start in Game 4 and, if the series goes to the max, could be available as a reliever.
