Hyperwired and More: A Look at Recent Indie Game Announcements
March 14, 2026 – The indie game scene continues to deliver a steady stream of innovative and intriguing titles. This week brings a mix of genres, from high-voltage roguelike shooters to cozy repair shop simulators, with several projects showcased at the Future Games Demonstrate Spring Showcase. Here’s a roundup of some of the most notable announcements.
Hyperwired: A High-Voltage Roguelike Shooter
SIDRALGAMES, in partnership with SelectaPlay and Entalto Publishing, has officially unveiled Hyperwired, a 2D roguelike shooter set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch this summer. The game distinguishes itself with a unique “tethered” mechanic. Players pilot ships that must physically connect to power sockets to recharge weapons and systems. Whereas connected, firepower increases, but movement is restricted by the cable’s length, creating a strategic balance between power and maneuverability. Hyperwired features procedurally generated sectors, over 250 bullet modifier combinations, and more than 40 upgrades, offering a deep and replayable roguelike experience. Players can also choose from over 10 distinct ships and rescue stranded pilots to build a supporting army.
