Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo: The New Manga by Gege Akutami with Designs by Yuji Iwasaki

The manga jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami concluded in September 2024. Since then, its fans have been eagerly awaiting the start of the third season of the anime. The story of Yuji Itadori ended in a satisfying way. However, last week it became known that a project called Mojuro, will be a new manga by Gege Akutami, which will feature designs by Yuji Iwasaki -known for his designs for the manga Cipher Academy by Nisio Isin-. As its announcement, fans of Jujutsu Kaisen have begun -some seriously and others jokingly- to theorize about what this new manga by Akutami would be a continuation of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Will there be a continuation of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen?

As is customary, between Wednesday and Thursday, spoilers from the next week’s Shonen Jump magazine begin to surface.Because of this very reason,it has been confirmed that the new manga by Gege Akutami is actually called Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo. In addition to the publication of the first chapter of this new manga set in the universe of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami has shared some words to introduce his new manga.

What is the story of Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo?

The story will follow a new generation of Jujutsu Sorcerers. It will be set in a world where the events of Jujutsu Kaisen have left a lasting impact, and will explore the challenges faced by those who inherit the legacy of fighting curses.

Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo: New Manga by Gege Akutami & Yuji Iwasaki Designs

Hi, I’m Akutami. It’s been a while! While I was serializing Jujutsu Kaisen (Jujutsu from here on out),I received several offers to create spin-off stories written by others. But, because manga is a medium where things can easily get out of hand, I worried the title would expand in ways I couldn’t control. So, I couldn’t except those offers at the time.

However, when this particular offer came along, I thought about how I could expand the main story, delve deeper into its setting, or even change the era completely. I realized that if the story took place in a parallel timeline, it could open up possibilities I hadn’t considered before. It wouldn’t interfere with the main story, and it felt like a safe way to explore more of the world.
