Kingsley Coman Joins Ronaldo & Félix at Al Nassr

Riad, Saudi Arabia (AP) – Kingsley Coman leaves Bayern Munich after a decade loaded with trophies to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi club to Nassr.

Bayern announced the transfer on Friday night. Kicker magazine reported a disbursement of 35 million euros (41 million dollars) for the French end.

Coman, author of the Bayern Victory goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020 Champions League final, will be part of a striker that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, the newly signed João Félix and Sadio Mané, his former Bayern.

Al Nassr seeks to rebound after finishing third in the Saudi Pro League last season. They agreed a two -year contract extension with Cristiano in June. They also reinforced their defense with the acquisition of Iñigo Martínez, in a free transfer last week after disconnecting from Barcelona.

The departure of Coman del Bayern occurs two weeks after the German champion signed the Colombian Luis Díaz de Liverpool, the reigning monarch of the Premier League. Díaz’s arrival left Coman on a secondary role.

Coman received an emotional farewell from Vincent Kompany on Friday, Bayern coach.

“When a player as successful as he leaves the club, he is always a bit emotional,” Kompany said. “You have to understand his position in this situation and what he wants. For me, the important thing now is that we look forward and that we show a lot of respect for Kingsley eats, for what he has done for this club.”

Coman became champion of the Bundesliga nine times at Bayern since I arrived on loan from Juventus in 2015. Despite that success, the 29 -year -old end fought to receive minutes last season was often used as a substitute for Kompany, even before the arrival of Díaz.

Coman scored nine goals in 45 games in all competitions last season. This is Bayern’s second experienced striker to leave after Leroy Sané left for the Galatasaray of Türkiye in a free operation, also for lack of minutes.

“He won an eternal place in the history of the club with his goal in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain,” said Max Eberl, Bayern’s sports director.
